Regular Features
At our rally we have a wide variety of displays that we run every year. We have a large display of vintage and veteran tractors ( 150+) at all of our rallies. In the tractor compound you will see tractors working many diferent implements as well as the popular Vintage Tractor Pull. A regular addition to the tractor compound is the vintage/veteran earth moving machinery display with bulldozers, graders, rollers and other related items working and forming the earth.
In the horse compound you will see horses and their drivers working the way it was done before the introduction of the tractor. Ploughing, sweeping and stacking hay, running the horse works for the chaff cutter and pulling wagons, carts and sleds.
In the engine compounds you will find a wide variety of stationary engines, from the earliest types made through to the more modern type engines, all driving the types of things that they would have done back in the day like pumps, generators and equipment.
In adition to these three main areas of interest we also have cow milking, hay baling (with stationary presses) blacksmiths forging steel, heritage timber skills displays, a whip cracker and maker, axemen chopping and carving wood and we also have stall holders selling thier wares. And to continue the heritage theme we also get a large turnout of vintage, veteran and classic trucks and cars as well.
There is plenty of catering available on site from both community and commercial vendors across the two days of the rally.
Our focus is on community with most of our proceeds being distributed amongst the many groups that help us to make the rally possible every year. Thankyou to all the hard working people from CFA Loch, CFA LangLang, CFA Koonwarra, CFA Kongwak, Korumburra Rotary Club and Cert First Response.
